Giving their famous Hotcakes a brand new twist, McDonald’s have introduced $1 Choc Chip Hotcakes and are rewarding the city by filling up the streets with the delicious smell of chocolate. Passers-by are encouraged to push a button on the panels to experience the chocolatey goodness of Choc Chip Hotcakes – guaranteed to sweeten their day.
Reed Pacific Media has exclusively developed a custom scent and provided dispensing technology – in partnership with JCDECAUX, Leo Burnett and UM Brisbane.
Scented advertising is a great way to entice consumers as 80% of the taste comes from the sense of the smell, for Mc Donald, it became a strategic way to sample their new product.
